Carnitas Uruapan

Carnitas Uruapan
1725 W 18th St, Chicago, IL 60608

In the Chicago neighborhood of Pilsen, there is a high Mexican population,
and restaurants like, Carnitas Uruapan, bring the area some mighty temptations
With a name that goes back to 1975, they have a mouthwatering reputation!

Located a few feet from the National Museum of Mexican Art, Carnitas Ururpan focuses on pig galore
Whether it’s the shoulder, skin, rib, or belly, you get anything you ask for
and with a moist, tender, and salty taste to the carnitas, it’s like something you’ve never had before

You can order the pork by the pound, and either take it to go or eat inside,
and if you eat inside, you are brought out a few tasty sides:
Warm flour tortillas, onions, cilantro, and salsa or Chipotle Sauce,
and then you can design your taco any way you like, in this dining experience you are the boss!

With only pig on the menu, some favorites are the Chicharrones or Tacos Dorados that you can choose
And in case you may be confused…
Chicharrones is crunchy pig skin infused with flavor,
and the Tacos Dorados are a crispy taco stuffed with pork brains, but seasoned with flavor
and they also come in a potato or a chorizo filling, if a vegetarian Tacos Dorados is what you favor

And if you plan on taking it to go,
here’s some things you should know…
You can have any part of the pig you like, Carnitas Uruapan will not say no!
Also, the line is known to be long but the service is fast,
so you will get your pig not long after you ask!

Carnitas Uruapan brings the culture of Mexico in their store,
with traditional masks, photos of Uruapan, the culture stands out through the decor
and with funky pig figures on the wall, you’ll feel like a true carnivore!

After serving Chicago for over 40 years, Carnitas Urupuan has made the pig it’s own
Right in the heart of the Pilsen community, its name should be written in stone
To having the best pig in the city, and being able to enjoy it all the way to the bone!

That is an awesome spread. Thanks again for the likes. I yearn for you two captivating beauties tragically in a fictional Captain Yossarian Catch 22 Joseph Heller overrated 60s pretentious literature sort of way.

    Peace be the Botendaddy
